Snow "Stone" Mountain

This morning we went to snow mountain. We had a ton of fun in the snow. It was actually quite enjoyable seeing that it was 52 degrees outside. We were able to go sledding, play in the snow and make snow forts and snow angels. :D Here are a few pixs of the fun time we had!!

LOOK!!! ITS SNOWING IN GA!!!!

Daddy and Abi making snow angels.

Abi was having a ball throwing snow balls at Kris.

Daddy pushing Abi down the slide.

Abi pulling her own sled back up to the top of the hill.

Look at that smile!! She kept getting off and saying that's fun mom!!

The big kids slide.....
And yes Abi went down it about 3 times!! (with us of course)
There was one side that was single rider tubes and
the other side is the family tubes.
This snow hill is set up on the hill where
you normally sit on to see the laser show.

Santa Try #2

Abi wanted redemption time. She felt so bad about last time we had to take her again. We went to the same place we went to last year (bass pro shop) to see Santa again. Abi was still scared to see him but Santa buttered her up by giving her 5 candies by putting them in her pocket then she stood in front of him for a picture. I would call that success!!!

Kinley was just as happy as normal. :)

Santa Try #1

At our wards christmas party Abi and Kinley were able to sit on santas lap. Abi had been so excited to sit on santas lap. She talked about him all week but as the time came to actually sit on santas lap she wasn't so excited.... (see picture below)... she officially won the most scared child in the ward. :) And Kinley could care less. Oh the black mails in the years to come on this picture.

Atlanta Thanksgiving Half Marathon

For my journal and my memories:

On Thursday (11.24.11) Thanksgiving morning, I was able to compete in my first half marathon. It was such an awesome experience. Ever since my sister Liz competed in her first half marathon at Bear Lake and watching her run in it, I made it my goal that someday I would do that! So here I am in Georgia completing my first half marathon.

It was a nerve racking thing for me to do. I always thought to myself, how in the world do you ever run 13 miles. That is just crazy. Well crazy me I did it!!! (and yes I would do it again and contemplating going 26.2).

I have to give a big shout out to all my supporters in this race. Without them encouraging me and pushing me I don't think I would have ever done something like this. But now I know it is possible! Thanks to Kris for signing me up for the race and helping me with the girls all the mornings I went out and ran. And for coming early with the girls race day to encourage me on. He was able to meet me at mile 8 and mile 11 and at the finish line. What a help that was to see them at those points!!

For my awesome sisters for being great examples that it can be done! And calming my nerves in the days prior to the race. For my mom and dad for buying me an awesome new running shirt and being so supportive of everything I do!!

For awesome friends who ran with me and gave me encouragement that I could do it. And for all my awesome family and friends who wished me good luck and followed up to see how it went.

What an great experience to run a race in Georgia and to see more of downtown Atlanta. In this race we were able to start at Turner Field (where the Braves play) and run past Georgia State University, then to Centennial Olympic Park, Piedmont Park, Oakland Cemetery and Martin Luther King Monument.

I was so happy with what I accomplished. I was able to reach my three goals for this race. No potty problems :), no walking or stopping, and have fun!! I was able to complete 13.1 miles in 2:07:14. Yay!!! Here are some pictures of the race for all my family and friends!!

Burr... I am cold!! Lets start this thing!!

Beginning of the race (not sure if you can see the capitol or not straight ahead with the gold top) Sorry its on its side.
Yes there were a TON of people running this race...
Starting line at Turner Field
Mile Eight... as Kris puts it "just keep running...running running...."

Mile 11....

Yay I did it.... now give me food!!!

My awesome supporters... don't you think they are cute???

Who ate my cheese???

It can now be known Abi loves cheese.

Daddy caught her in the act. I kept telling him it wasn't me but he didny believe me till he saw her in the act. Ha ha ha jk.

Early this morning as Abi and I were watching a movie in bed Abi leaned over to me and gave me a big hug and said.. "mom we are best friends"!! Can you say tender??? I love my little Abi so much and am so glad she considers me her best friend. I hope that as a mom I can continue to be her best friend throughout all of her years. I love you Abigail!!!

Yellow River Game Ranch

We were able to go to the yellow river game ranch this summer. This was a pretty fun place to go to. I had a couple friends tell me how cool it was and how close you could get to the animals. I was surprised by the many animals they had there. The extra fun part was that you could feed the animals. :D Abi was in heaven with this. Although the first animals that we saw were the bunnies and she fed them a cracker and then took it back and took a bite as well!!! GROSS!!! :D Here are a few pictures of this fun day.

Big Buffalo Head... This was the first time Kris and Abi had ever seen one.

Look how massive that thing is. It would wipe me and Kinley away if it really wanted to.

Abi feeding the warthog.

Abi feeding the donkey.

YES that is a BEAR!! We could feed them too! The thing they liked the most were the peanuts!

The Black things in the cage are more Bears.

Abi loved the bunnies.

Baby Goats.

Take notice of Abis face. She was showing the deer how to eat the carrot.

Abi kept saying to the animals "here you go"

Two of my favorite people!! Love you two.

As we were walking out Abi saw this horse and went crazy saying... "mommy I wanna ride the horse" So we spoiled her and let her ride it a few times.

Here is the video of her on it. She is so stinking cute!!

Kinleys Blessing

On July 17th 2011 we were able to be in Utah and to bless our sweet baby girl Kinley Ann. This was such a wonderful day for us! Since we currently live in Georgia we were able to get special permission to bless her in Utah. Instead of having family come to us in Georgia we just decided to take our family to them.

As we got to Kris' dad ward to bless her I was so worried that Kinley would be so upset during her blessing because she missed her normal morning feed. So the first thing I did when I got to church was to rush into the mothers room and nurse her. But unfortunately she was not able to get enough food because it was time to bless her. So as I walked out of the mothers room I prayed that she would be okay. As we walked back into the chapel she fell asleep and she didn't wake up until the end of the meeting. What a blessing that was.

As they asked for the priesthood brethren to come up who had been asked, I was blown away by the spirit as I watched so many worthy priesthood holders surround my sweet daughter. Kinley truly has so many priesthood holders who love her and will always support her. I am so grateful for my family and for their constant love and support.

I am so grateful for the blessing that heavenly father gave her. I am so grateful to have Kinley in our lives. She has already brought so much joy to us as a family. Her sweet spirit has brightened our lives even more. I remember before Kinley was born I wondered how I could ever love another child as much as I loved Abi. It is amazing how you can have so much love for your children. It gives me a slight glimpse of the love our Savior has for each of us. We truly love you so much Kinley and are so grateful to have you in our lives!!!

Here are a few picutres of the special day!
