Funny Stories...

So this week I officially became a mom of a big boy! ha ha ha. No I am not pregnant and no Abi is not a boy. Here is the story that makes me a mom of a big boy.

As Kris and I were driving around to different places on Saturday and I looked over and Kris had a little piece of a white booger under his nose. So the mom instincts kicked in and instead of telling him he had a booger, what do think i did? Yes.... I leaned over and picked his nose. After I did this Kris looked at me with the weirdest expression on his face and he said "did you really just pick my nose?" Okay I know gross you may say but I guess I have done this so much with Abi I didn't even take a second thought about cleaning up Kris' nose either. ha ha ha

Easter Times

The sun has been out here for the past few days and it has been really HOT! (Like mid 80's) The pollen is out and so are the bees!! I swear I have never been around so many HUGE Bees! If you know me, you know I HATE bees with a passion! The Video below will give you a good laugh.... We were out at our apartment complex making dinner on the BBQ's and I deiced that it would be fun to get some pictures....

If you look close on this picture you can see the roads are covered in pollen. It almost looks like snow with the tire tracks.

She just took steps!!!

Abi just took 5 steps all by herself and we actually caught a video of it. (make that 12 as daddy is still playing with her) :D As Abi and I were playing this morning I scooted away from her to see what she would do and low and behold she took two steps toward me all by herself. So I called Kris and he was able to come home for lunch and see her and we were able to catch the second time she did it on tape. Here it is!!! Our Little Girl is Growing Up!!!

Quiet Time

So as I sit here alone in the dark with Abi sleeping and daddy off to study for a final tomorrow I got to thinking about the past posts I have done and how I have not taken the time to talk about life in general. Sometimes I tell yah it seems that the days and hours just fly by!!

Lately I have been thinking a lot about the responsibilities of being a mother. Since we have moved out here to GA I have had a lot of people ask me what I do all day since I don't have a full time job. I also had another person talk to me about her experiences when she had her first child and how awful it was to be at home all day with a child and she would never want to do that again. When she told me this I almost wanted to cry. How could someone think being at home with your child being AWFUL?

I just cant help but think how blessed I am to have a husband who values a stay at home mother and how blessed I am to be able to be at home with my darling sweetheart!!! I couldn't imagine not being home with her!!! Being able to be home with her has been such a joy for me. It has been so fun to watch Abi grow and learn new things. I tell you its the little things that she does that can brighten my darkest days. :D I understand that there are situations where mothers are not able to be in the home all day but I just couldn't understand how someone could truly feel like it was AWFUL to be home. It was hard for me when she told me this because all I could say back to her is that I have loved every minute of being at home with my daughter. Yes, I admit there are times where my strings are very thin and I need a break and some fresh air but I wouldn't change being home with her for the world!!!! I love you so much Abi and thank you for being my joy and my little sunshine. :D

So I have to tell a story about the next picture and video. So our church is from 10-1 which is right when Abi's morning nap is so Sundays have become hard days for us. Well on the way home from church Abi will usually fall asleep in the car which is fine but since we get home at 1 she hasn't eaten lunch yet. So the picture below is after Kris had taken her out of her car seat and put her in her boster seat to eat but in the meantime Abi is still FAST asleep. The video below will show what happened next. :D Enjoy!

Fun Pictures and Movies

We put my hat on Abi and Kris thought she looked like Elmer Fud so we had to take some pictures.



Kris has a couple pictures of him holding Sophie and Sarah (nieces) this way so he thought he would continue the tradition. I am not to sure Abi was happy about it.

Abi after she just woke up in the morning. Lately Abi has been sleeping on her tummy and I am not sure if you can tell or not but on her face there are imprints of something she slept on.

Abi had a friend come over the other day and she was seriously tackling him. I thought it was really funny. She knows how to stand up for herself so when we come back to Utah she will be ready to go!


Abi LOVES apples!!! This video is pretty dark but it is funny.


Abi loves to play this game with Daddy. This video is also dark so I am not sure if you will be able to see her cute smile but i thought I would try. Also sorry the video is on its side. I cant figure out how to fix it.

My Funny Little Abi

So I told Kris about the funny things Abi has been doing latley and he asked me if I had written down the things that she has done, and I said nope. So before I go to bed tonight I thought I would hurry and post some quick stories....

One day as I was cleaning up the house I went into the other room to put some things away and Abi was sitting in the family room being so quite. I didnt think anything of it and just thought "man she is being good, maybe i will finish a couple more things in here." As I finished up the things I was doing in that room, I walked back into the family room to see Abi with her sweet little smile pulling out the wet wipes out of the container one by one with each hand. So on her left side there was a huge pile and same with her right. No wonder why she was being so good! I should have grabbed the camera and took a picture but i didnt think about it cause i was laughing to hard.

Second story... One morning I was in the kitchen putting away the dishes in the dishwasher and Abi was in her corner just playing with a couple books. (which by the way she LOVES books.) As I walked over to see her she was opening and shutting the pages in one of her books and then she put that book down and picked up her other one. As I walked back into the kitchen I could tell she was getting a little frustrated, so I walked back over to her and as I asked her what was wrong she looked up to me and let out a huge mad grunt! As I looked more closely she was struggling to get the book open so she made a huge grunt sound to let me know that she was mad and needed help. Oh how I love all the little things she does and the things I get to see being home with her!!

On a side note.. its snowing here again in GA. Its a lot more snowy than last time. Here are some pictures of the snow storm today.. Looks like tomorrow is a in house day. No body wants to be out driving on icky snowy icy roads in GA.



That is the fence outside our house you can tell we have maybe maybe 2 inches of snow. This was right before bed (9 p.m.) and yes it was still coming down.

Look at my little one go, she has figured out how to walk behind this and now she is cruising!! I think she will be walking in no time. She has started letting go of things and standing on her own for a few seconds before she realizes it and then she falls to her bum. :D
